Using SBench is very straight forward, with help dialog windows readily accessible. Set up of the hardware and the analysis of results is performed using pull down menus and configuration windows, with no programming required.
The hardware setup window
Within here all the boards acquisition parameters are set by use of just a few mouse clicks. The main options, for example gain and signal offset, are made from the front panel, whilst tab buttons are used to access all the options including single series ("single-shot") or continuous capture, internal/clocking and triggering. a similar widow is available for the waveform generator and digital I/O series of boards.
All settings can be saved to file.
The analysis modules
Each of the main analysis functions have their own dialog modules where options are be entered. FFT analysis, a commonly used example, allows several windowing functions such as Blackman, Hanning and Hamming to be selected. Other functions such as two channel addition, smoothing, and maximum/minimum are selected in a similar way from its own configuration module.
