| The M3i.21xx series 8-bit digitiser provides an ultra high-speed 1 Giga sample
per second capture - the fastest in the Spectrum range of industrial grade
PC instrument cards. Each input channel has its own latest generation
monolithic A/D converter and amplifier giving synchronous zero phase delay between
multiple channels or further cards within a system (see Star Hub option below).
The highly configurable amplifier stage consists of eight ranges to make good
use of the available conversion resolution, whilst selecting the 50-ohm terminated
path provides a bandwidth of up to 500 MHz. In addition each channel has a
programmable AC/DC coupling and a selectable low pass anti-aliasing filter to
optimise noise figures. The large standard on-board memory of 512 Mbytes can be
substituted with up to 4Gbytes to maximise capture time if so desired. |
Standard features
- FIFO mode for streaming data to PC

- 8-bit resolution analogue channel trigger
- Dedicated connection for external trigger input, programmable in 1 mV (analogue) steps, or for TTL
- Dedicated connection for external TTL clock input, or to output the cards sampling clock
- Two general purpose digital I/O connectors
configurable as asychronous or synchronous to sampling, or as extra TTL trigger lines
- Postive and negative edge trigger

- Auto re-arm on edge trigger

- High and low level trigger

- Window trigger

- AND/OR multiple trigger event combinations
- Progammable delay until trigger recognition
- SBench 6.x windows software
- Basic memory: 512 MSample (512 MByte)
- Selectable input impedance
to 50 Ohm or 1 MOhm
- 20MHz bandwidth (anti-aliasing) filter
Enhancements included

- ABA mode - Variable sampling speed, jump to fast capture on trigger
- Multiple Recording - multiple sequential
signal capture using fast repetative triggers, auto re-arm
- Time stamp - records the time of each trigger event
Special (cost) options
- BASEXIO - Extra asynchronous digital I/O with additional trigger lines
- Memory upgrade to 1GSample , 2 GS, 4 GS
- Threaded SMA signal connectors instead of SMB on card end plate
- Synchronisation Star Hub - synchronise up to 8 cards
